Wolfgang Draving

Oboist

Wolfgang is a San Antonio native and has recently moved back to town from Waco, where he studied oboe under Dr. Doris DeLoach and Dr. Euridice Alvarez at Baylor University while pursuing degrees in engineering, music, and business.   He has performed at TMEA, ABA, and the Midwest Clinic with the Baylor Wind Ensemble and Baylor Symphony Orchestra and held an internship as 2nd Oboist with the Waco Symphony Orchestra.

Wolfgang enjoys oboe reed research and has been published with the International Double Reed Society; he is currently studying manufacturing practices and their applications to reed making.  Wolfgang is a Youth Orchestras of San Antonio alumni and took oboe lessons from Jennifer Berg and Deana Johnson here in San Antonio. 

In addition to playing oboe with the Heart of Texas Concert Band and teaching oboe privately, he is the Product Data Manager at EControls, LLC in San Antonio, a global operation specializing in natural gas engine controls.
