The Heart of Texas Concert Band will perform its 2nd annual Children’s Concert, complete with demonstrations from the band and bassoon soloist Alexander Plotkin from the Air National Guard Band of the Southwest and the Brazos Valley Symphony performing David Bennett’s “Bassoonata.”  Included will be Don Gillis’ fable “The Man Who Invented Music” and other charming miniatures.  Fun for the young and for the young at heart!

Alexander Plotkin

Bassoon

A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Alexander Plotkin performed in numerous countries around the world. While living in Israel, he performed with such renowned groups as The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and The New Israel Opera. In 1999 Alexander moved to the US, to pursue his studies of music.
