May 21 will see the Heart of Texas Concert Band conclude its season of concerts at San Antonio College with a program entitled “How Suite it Is.” Featured on the concert will be the United States of America premier in the “World Premier Chain” of Spanish composer Carlos Pellicer’s “Menu.” The Heart of Texas Concert Band joins a prestigious line-up of wind bands around the world who will perform this work (only one premier in each country.) The program will also include Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E-flat”, as well as other suites that will be sure to charm all listeners.
