Victoria “Vicky” Watson

Victoria “Vicky” Watson is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree-1994, and a Master’s in Music Performance-1999, studying percussion under Genaro Gonzalez. 

She was named Krueger Middle School’s Trinity Prize recipient for excellence in teaching for 2020-2021. She currently completed her 28th year as a music educator. As the Director of Bands for Krueger Middle School in Northeast I.S.D. she has lead the program to flourish with over 250 students attending numerous festivals, earning yearly Outstanding Awards. In 2019, the band entered the TMEA honor band process and advanced to the Area level competition.  The band consistently earns Sweepstakes awards at UIL Band evaluations. 

Ms. Watson serves as the Fine Arts/Electives Department Head for Krueger Middle School.

Previous teaching positions include Saegert MS, Barnes MS in Seguin ISD, West Campus HS in South San ISD and Nimitz Academy in Northeast ISD.  Other notable teaching positions include instructor for marching bands such as Claudia Taylor Johnson HS, Clark HS, Burbank HS, Jefferson HS, Llano HS; as well as percussion private teacher.  Ms. Watson has performed with numerous ensembles over her career including the Mid-Texas Symphony, Austin Symphony and Fiesta Texas. She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association and the San Antonio Board of Realtors.
