Angela Moretti

Bassoon Soloist

Hailing from Vero Beach, Florida, Angela Moretti is an active performer and educator in the greater San Antonio area. She currently serves as the Adjunct Instructor of Bassoon at Texas Lutheran University. Angela performs with several local ensembles, maintains a large private studio, and sells bassoon reeds professionally. 

Prior to her appointment at Texas Lutheran University, Angela served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 8th Army Band in Pyeongtaek, South Korea and the 323rd Army Band in San Antonio. During her brief time in Texas, she has performed with the Symphony of the Hills, SA Harmonie, the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, the South Texas Symphonic Orchestra, and the Heart of Texas Concert Band. 

Outside of her music career, Angela serves as the Vice President of the National Museum of Civil Defense, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to preservation and education relating to the country’s Cold War Era Civil Defense program. Additionally, she enjoys painting and graphic design, and has had her illustrations published in several music education-focused children’s books. 

Angela received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Florida State University, and her Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida, where she served as a Teaching Assistant. Her primary teachers were Randy Doo, Andrew West, and Jeffrey Keesecker.
