As a non-profit 501(c) (3), the Heart of Texas Concert Band relies strictly on donations from people like you to help continue our mission. The members of the Heart of Texas Concert Band deeply appreciate your support as expressed through your financial aid and, most especially, your attendance and applause.
Where Does your Donation Go?
While the band is all-volunteer and has a non-profit status, we still have bills to pay and expenses to cover. Below are just a few examples of where your donation goes and how it helps us achieve our mission.

Guest Performers and Conductors
Your donation allows the band to bring in the finest guest performers and conductors from across the state and the country, including Johan de Meij, James Keene, Pam Smith Kelly, and Darin Tysdal.

Expanding our Musical Library
With the help of director Mark Rogers, the band maintains a growing music library. Your donation allows the band to continue to purchase music for every concert, every year.

Performance Venue Rentals
While most concerts are held in free venues such as churches and McAllister Auditorium, the band also performs in a number of larger venues which require rental fees.

Professional Recordings and CDs
Every concert is professionally recorded and put on CDs both for sale to the public and for the archive. Your donation allows the band to continue this tradition, even recording works which have rarely been recorded.
What Our Audience is Saying
The Heart of Texas Concert Band has played for hundreds of appreciative audience members over the past 10 seasons.
