Bradlee Hooker

Bradlee Hooker is a native of Michigan and relocated to San Antonio, Texas at the age of 11. He is a graduate of Northside Independent School District and earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2013. Mr. Hooker began his teaching career in San Antonio Independent School District, serving as Assistant Band Director at Joel C. Harris Middle School until 2016.

In August 2016, Mr. Hooker was appointed Director of Bands at John Greenleaf Whittier Middle School, where he currently serves. Under his leadership, the Whittier Band program has consistently earned UIL Sweepstakes awards and has had the opportunity to perform in premier San Antonio venues, including the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. He fosters a culture of excellence, encouraging students to reach new heights in musical artistry.

In addition to his work as an educator, Mr. Hooker maintains an active performance career. He has been a member of the Heart of Texas Concert Band since the 2013–2014 season and performs as a vocalist at Western Hills Christian Church. Outside of the classroom and rehearsal hall you can find him spending time with family and friends as much as he can, enjoying a game of golf, a fishing weekend, or a visit to the theater.

Mr. Hooker resides in San Antonio, Texas, where he remains actively engaged in both his professional and musical pursuits. Residing in the city he calls home, Mr. Hooker continues to inspire, educate, and perform, deeply invested in both his professional calling and his personal musical pursuits.
